The Ground begins to Stir!

We came back to this! They started the forms for the slab.

More Waiting!

Kelly and I took a trip to Houston to pass the time! Fun city and we need to get back soon. This was all in February. Happy Birthday Jill!!

Design Center

Finally we get to pick out our interior finishes!

Cabinets are on the top. Cypress wood with a dark finish. Wood flooring on the left. Tile floor and backsplash in the middle. Quartz countertops at the bottom. Quartz is Cambria Cranbrook I believe.

Below is the wall finishes we chose, then the carpet (looks darker than it is), and of course the tile. Next we picked a beige-tan siding and thats our brick color next to it. Notice how the brick seems lighter than before in the ACME picture.

Finally our fixtures.

Waiting on Permits

All the previous posts happened in December of 2010. We had to wait a while before we could move on to the next step in the process, but not to worry, Kelly and myself are good at passing the time:

Brick!

Now the first thing we were tasked with chosing had to be done on the spot with no reference except a picture. I will find out later that we didn't chose wisely. We went with Acme "Maison Rouge" reddish-brown mixed brick. Here is a sample from their website:

First task - Which plan to chose? We went with the "2416."
